Pilates changed my life both figuratively and literally.
I was introduced to Pilates at my local gym while attending Western Washington University. Instantly I fell in love with it. No matter how I felt going into class, I always felt better both physically and mentally afterwards. After graduating from Western Washington University with a degree in the liberal arts, I decided to turn my passion for Pilates into a career.
I moved down to Seattle to attend Pilates Seattle International which has a rigorous and thorough teacher training program. After over 900 hours of apprenticeship, I became a certified Authentic and Romana's Pilates instructor in the spring of 2007. Unlike many instructors, I was not a dancer or athlete in my youth. No matter what your background is, Pilates will make you stronger and more graceful. That's one of the things I love most about Pilates, no matter what shape you're in it will transform your body. Another aspect of Pilates that I love is the stretching while strengthening. Many of my clients enjoy this as well!
My goal for every client is that they walk out of the studio feeling better than when they came in and of course, a stronger powerhouse.
